Ficus, also known as the Ficus genus, is a diverse group of plants that includes several popular indoor and outdoor species. Commonly grown ficus plants include the Ficus benjamina (Weeping Fig), Ficus elastica (Rubber Plant), and Ficus lyrata (Fiddle-Leaf Fig). These plants are admired for their lush foliage and unique appearance, making them attractive additions to homes, offices, and gardens.

How to Care for Ficus Plants:

1. Light: Place in bright, indirect light for most ficus varieties. They can tolerate lower light conditions but prefer well-lit spaces. 

2. Watering: Allow the top inch or two of soil to dry between waterings. Ficus plants like consistent moisture but dislike being waterlogged.

3. Humidity: Ficus plants prefer higher humidity levels, especially if grown indoors. Use a humidifier, place a tray with water and pebbles near the plant, or mist the leaves to increase humidity.

4. Temperature: Provide a warm environment between 60-85°F (15-29°C). Ficus plants are sensitive to cold drafts and temperature fluctuations.

5. Soil: Use well-draining, peat-based potting mix for indoor ficus plants. Outdoor ficus plants prefer fertile, well-draining soil.
